"Awesome is not a word I use often but having had a regular ceramic hob for the last 17 years this induction hob replacement I think warrants the term.
It brings water to the boil in the same time that the old hob was just thinking about warming up. Likewise when you turn it off, it's off - you don't have to think about taking the pan off the ring to ensure the contents don't keep on cooking afterwards.
Installation was a cinch - well within the capability of any competent DIYer.
When cooking there is a slight high pitched whine but this is due to the induction heating process that is going on with the pan and I imagine is common to all induction hobs. There is also a small amount of noise emitted by the in-built fan which keeps all the electronics cool. However, if you have an extractor hood that will probably drown out any noise from the hob itself.
The touch controls respond pretty well - I have not had to press particularly hard on them or leave my finger on them for any undue length of time as I have read with some other hob reviews.
As you can tell, I am pretty impressed with this product. For the price it is great value and I hope that it offers many years of reliable service - time will tell."

"First impressions are definitely very favourable for this hob. It looks sleek and stylish, and the controls are easy to use. Coming from a ceramic electric hob, I was very impressed at how fast a pan of water came to the boil, and the level of control you get over the heat is much like that of a gas hob. For the price, this is a bargain."
Pros: cheap for what it is, easy to use, looks good!, performs admirably at what it's designed to do
Cons: you may need new pans as aluminium won't work

"Brought this induction hob to replace an ordinary ceramic hob.I am very impressed with the quickness and efficiency of the hob.I would strongly recommend if your thinking of buying this hob is to do it because you wont be disappointed.I have also been told by friends who cook on gas and that have tried my new induction is far superior."

"I have just recently bought induction hob and its the best thing since sliced bread. We do not have gas in our area and its as good as gas and much ssafer of course. Easy to use, looks great on worktop. I would recommend it to anyone"

"Having had a ceramic hob for many years we changed to induction ceramic. This is far superior to the normal ceramic and we are enjoying cooking. One word of caution, in the instruction booklet it asks people with pacemakers to consult their doctor before use and, as my husband has such a medical device, we telephoned his gp who confirmed it was ok to proceed using the hob."
Pros: very easy to use, quick heating and simmers really well
Cons: check with gp if you have a pacemaker .
