"Core i7 at the given price is really a good thing. From my previous experience with the laptop I learnt that it is good to have a better processor, you can extend RAM and user External harddisk as the need grows.
In my previous Dell dual core laptop McAfee uses more than 50% CPU all the time.
I would certainly recommend this laptop at the given price."
Pros: fast processor, price
Cons: battery life, weight

"I was very pleased to get an i7 quad core processor on a notebook at this price, and the rest of the hardware is pretty good too. Only real downside is that the keyboad feels quite flexy and the hard drive is a little small at 320gb.
However the install of windows 7 has the worst case of bloatware I've ever seen. It's loaded with performance draining rubbish you'll never want to use, and by default most of it is set to start when you boot up so it really eats into performance and boot times.
Most of it can be uninstalled of course, but beware uninstalling any of the games software by Oberon. The uninstall script corrupts the registry and you'll have to restore from the recovery partition which takes about 2 hours. This is a known issue, but both Oberon and ASUS don't really seem to care. I find the lack of quality control here shocking, and it's not exactly left me feeling good about the purchase, or ASUS for that matter.
Will be doing a fresh install of windows 7 to get rid of all the junk, but this isn't something I should need to do after spending £500. The hardware's good, but if like me you find bloatware annoying you may want to look at another brand."
Pros: fast i7 processor
Cons: bloatware

"I've only had this laptop a matter of hours but just wanted to point out a few things.
The specs on the website say it has a core i7 2630QM processor with 3 USB 2 slots.
Upon opening it and setting it up I was delighted to find out that in fact it has a core i7 2670QM processor with 2 USB 2 slots and a USB 3 slot. Awesome!"
